National Red Ribbon Week is an annual event held across the United States to promote drug awareness and prevention, especially among young people. Typically observed in late October, it encourages schools, communities, and families to come together to educate students about the dangers of drug use and to support healthy, drug-free lifestyles. The campaign often includes themed dress-up days, educational activities, and pledges to stay drug-free, helping to reinforce positive choices in a fun and engaging way.

Each year DCPC, in conjunction with many local agencies and supporters, celebrates this campaign throughout all of Delaware County and in every Delaware County elementary school. DCPC has provided all public elementary schools in Delaware County with items such as tee shirts, pencils, educational materials, and other items to celebrate Red Ribbon Week for over 30 years! This year, Red Ribbon week will be celebrated October 23-31.
